Begin your day with this 5 minute mediation.



Meditation can be very intimidating for some people. I often hear, "I don't have time to meditate" or "I can't sit still for 20 minutes" or "it's just not my thing." I respect that mediation isn't for everyone. I do however, like to suggest that even if meditation isn't your thing, you give yourself at least five minutes in the morning before even getting out of bed. If you can give yourself five minutes to just prepare your mind to have a good day, I promise you will feel so much better throughout your day.


I'll make this quick and simple for you. It doesn't get easier than this. Ready?


From the moment you wake up, you can either stay lying down or sit up on your bed. Keep your eyes closed. Take a few deep breaths. Raise your arms over your head and breath just a little deeper and release. Do this a few more times. Bring your hands back down to your thighs and repeat this mantra...."Thank You." Repeat the words "thank you" for the next few minutes. It's that simple.


"Thank you" is a form of expressing gratitude. When we start our day grateful, everything just feels better. And if you remember during the day, take the time to repeat this mantra to yourself again. Even if something doesn't go your way, say "thank you." Trust me, if it didn't go your way, it wasn't meant for you. Be thankful for that ;).
